Minimal Projective Reconstruction for Combinations of Points and Lines in Three Views
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper we address the problem of projective reconstruction of structure and motion given only image data. In particular we investigate three novel minimal combinations of points and lines over three views, and give complete solutions and reconstructionmethods for two of these cases: “four points and three lines in three views”, and “two points and six lines in three views”. We show that in general there are three and seven solutions respectively to these cases. The reconstruction methods are tested on real and simulated data. We also give tentative results for the case of nine lines in correspondence over three views, where experiments indicate that there may be up to 36 complex solutions.

Uncalibrated 1D projective camera and 3D affine reconstruction of lines
We describe a linear algorithm to recover 3D affine shape/motion from line correspondences over three views with uncalibrated affine cameras. The key idea is the introduction of a one-dimensional projective camera. This converts the 3D affine reconstruction of “lines” into 2D projective reconstruction of “points”. Using the full tensorial representation of three uncalibrated 1D views, we prove ...
متن کاملLines and Points in Three Views - An Integrated Approach
This note outlines a new method for carrying out a projective reconstruction of a scene from three views of a mixture of lines and points. The algorithm is non-iterative (in fact linear) consequently very rapid. A particular case of this algorithm gives a new linear method for computing a scene from seven points in three views.
متن کاملLinear Multi View Reconstruction with Missing Data
General multi view reconstruction from affine or projective cameras has so far been solved most efficiently using methods of factorizing image data matrices into camera and scene parameters. This can be done directly for affine cameras [18] and after computing epipolar geometry for projective cameras [17]. A notorious problem has been the fact that these factorization methods require all points...
متن کاملTwo-Way Ambiguity in 2D Projective Reconstruction from Three Uncalibrated 1D Images
We show that there is in general a two-way ambiguity for 2D projective reconstruction from three uncalibrated 1D views, independent of the number of point correspondences. The two distinct projective reconstructions are exactly related by a quadratic transformation with the three camera centers as fundamental points. Unique 2D reconstruction is possible only when the three camera centers are al...
متن کاملAmbiguous Configurations for 3-View Projective Reconstruction
The critical configurations for projective reconstruction from three views are discussed. A set of cameras and points is said to be critical if the projected image points are insufficient to determine the placement of the points and cameras uniquely, up to projective transformation. For two views, the classification of critical configurations is well known the configuration is critical if and o...
